Not everyone is a ghost! This was when South Street still boasted a real pipe organ.

The choir on the left was snapped fifty years ago and includes a few still active musicians, including the webmaster (top left). Still singing heartily every Sunday in the congregation is Mary Wooldridge (front row 2nd from left). In the more recent picture (a mere 30 years ago), we also have two continuing congregational singers in the forms of Barbara Hardaker (front row far left) and Pauline Callard (front row 3rd from left). The respective organists are Stanley Wilkins (1958) and Paul French (1978). Ah! Those were the days when choirs led lusty singing and organists always hit the right notes!
